Florida Disaster Volunteer Leave Act; Revises conditions under which employee may be granted leave of absence under Florida Disaster Volunteer Leave Act; specifies requirements & limitations for such leave.
OGSR/Criminal Intelligence Information/Criminal Investigative Information; Abrogating the scheduled repeals of provisions relating to specified criminal intelligence information or criminal investigative information, etc.
Constitutional Amendments; Amending provisions related to constitutional amendments including requirements of the Secretary of State, signature verification for initiative petitions, Supreme Court advisory opinion, petition collector registration, signature validity, petition forms, cost of signature verification, timelines for signature verification, requirements of the Financial Impact Estimating Conference, ballot statements, & availability of amendments at polling stations.
Verification of Employment Eligibility; Prohibits approval of certain applications after specified date; requires awardee to repay certain moneys within specified timeframe; requires public employers, contractors, & subcontractors to use E-Verify system for specified purposes; prohibits such entities from entering into contract unless each party to contract uses E-Verify system; authorizes termination of contract; provides liability; requires private employers to verify employment eligibility of newly hired employees; provides acceptable methods for verification; provides specified immunity & creates rebuttable presumption; requires private employers to provide copies of certain documents, upon request, to specified persons & entities for certain purposes; prohibits such persons & entities from making independent determination; requires affidavit; provides for suspension or revocation of certain licenses.
Insurance; Revises electronic signature requirement for motor vehicle salvage certificate of title; authorizes payment of certain workers' compensation benefits to be transmitted to employee's account with licensed money transmitter; revises requirements & procedures for civil remedy notice provided to insurers & DFS; revises timeframe for insurer to pay damages; revises persons who may be licensed to transact in travel insurance; revises ratemaking factor for workers' compensation & employer's liability insurance; revises criteria for assessing residential condominium unit owner's loss assessment coverage; requires travel insurers to pay insurance premium tax on specified travel insurance premiums; specifies policyholder's or certificateholder's right to cancel travel protection plan for full refund.
Public Records and Meetings/Division of State Technology; Revising a provision to reflect the abolishment of the Agency for State Technology; providing an exemption from public records requirements for portions of records held by a state agency which contain network schematics, hardware and software configurations, or encryption; providing an exemption from public meetings requirements for portions of meetings which would reveal certain records; providing for future legislative review and repeal under the Open Government Sunset Review Act of the exemptions; providing statements of public necessity, etc.
Disability Retirement Benefits; Allows members receiving care at federal Veterans' Health Administration facilities to use certification by specified number of physicians working at such facilities as proof of total & permanent disability.
OGSR/Body Camera Recordings Obtained by Law Enforcement Officers; Amending a provision which provides an exemption from public records requirements for body camera recordings obtained by law enforcement officers under certain circumstances; abrogating the scheduled repeal of the exemption, etc.
