Animal Cremation; Requires provider of companion animal cremation services to provide written description of services & include certification with cremated remains; requires referring persons or entities to provide copies of such written descriptions; provides for collection & deposit of civil penalties; provides circumstances under which person commits unfair or deceptive act or engages in unfair method of competition; provides for private right of action; authorizes DACS to take certain actions.
Assessments for School District Levies; Proposing amendments to the State Constitution to remove provisions and apply certain requirements on the change in assessment of real property and residential real property to school district levies and to provide an effective date, etc.
Business Transactions; Requires FDLE to contract with private provider to supply statewide reporting system to law enforcement agencies by specified date; requires secondhand dealers & pawnbrokers to electronically submit transactions to such system; authorizes sheriffs to supply computer equipment to certain secondhand dealers & pawnbrokers; revises requirements for remittance of payments by secondhand precious metals dealers.
Charitable Organizations; Prohibiting the solicitation or acceptance of contributions or anything of value from a foreign source of concern; requiring the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to create an Honest Services Registry for a specified purpose; providing requirements for charitable organizations to be included on the registry, etc.
Animal Cremation; Creating "Sevilla’s Law"; requiring a provider of companion animal cremation services to provide certain individuals and entities with a written description of the services the provider offers; requiring the written description to include a detailed explanation of each service offered; requiring certain providers to include a certification with the returned animal’s cremation remains; providing circumstances under which a person commits an unfair or deceptive act or practice or an unfair method of competition in violation of certain provisions, etc.
Landlord's Obligation to Maintain Premises; Requires certain landlords to provide functioning facilities for air-conditioning.
Electronic Harassment; Authorizing a person to bring a civil action against another person if the actor intentionally posts another person’s personal identifying information without consent of the person whose information is posted and if certain criteria are met; authorizing a victim to recover damages and any other appropriate relief, including reasonable attorney fees, etc.
Conveyances to Foreign Entities; Revising conditions under which a foreign principal may purchase certain real property in the state, etc.
Impact-resistant Opening Protection; Exempts certain impact-resistant items from specified taxes.
Educator Certifications and Training; Revising the core curricula for certain teacher preparation programs to include training relating to mass casualty incidents; revising the certified educator eligibility criteria to require such persons to receive training in mass casualty incidents; requiring the Department of Education to develop a list of approved trainings relating to mass casualty incidents, etc.
