Clerks of the Circuit Court; Providing that the clerk of the circuit court is the county auditor with the duty and power to guard against illegal use of county funds; authorizing third-party financial institutions to rely on specified provisions to provide specified records and documents to county auditors without requiring additional processes or court orders; authorizing county auditors to obtain a certain credential to be designated as the county inspector general, etc.
Parity for Nonnursing Services Under Long-term Managed Care Plans; Beginning on specified date, requiring AHCA to reimburse nonnursing services provided by licensed providers at same rate or higher than rate it reimburses unlicensed providers for such services under Medicaid long-term managed care program; requires agency annually to adjust rate for licensed providers; requires agency, within specified timeframe, to seek any Medicaid waiver or state plan amendment necessary to implement rate changes.
Domestic Violence; Revising the definition of the term “domestic violence” to include coercive control of one family or household member by another family or household member, etc.
Regulation of Xylazine; Excepts from list of Schedule I controlled substances certain xylazine animal drug products approved by USDA & used for certain purposes; provides criminal penalties & requiring mandatory minimum term of imprisonment specified offenses involving xylazine.
Chemical Additives in Food Products; Beginning on a specified date, prohibiting a food establishment from manufacturing, selling, or distributing food that contains specified chemical additives, etc.
Immigration and State-issued Identification; Citing this act as the “Florida Economic Prosperity and Immigration Act”; establishing the Office for New Americans in the Department of Commerce; deleting a provision authorizing the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to require applicants to produce certain documents from the United States Department of Homeland Security for certain purposes; deleting a requirement for certain private employers to use the E-Verify system; prohibiting a person or entity from discriminating against an individual because the individual holds or presents a driver license that does not comply with the REAL ID Act of 2005, etc.
Location of Equipment Owned by Amusement Business Owner; Prohibits counties & municipalities from enacting certain policies, ordinances, regulations, or other measures that require payment from amusement business owner for placement, parking, or storage of equipment for longer than specified length of time on certain agricultural lands.
Agreement Among the States to Elect the President by National Popular Vote; Provides for enactment of Agreement Among States to Elect President by National Popular Vote; provides method by which state may become member state; requires statewide popular election for President & Vice President of U.S.; establishes procedure for appointing presidential electors in member states; provides that agreement becomes effective upon occurrence of specified actions; provides for withdrawal of member state; requires notification of member states when agreement takes effect in nonmember state or when member state withdraws from agreement.
Admission To Practice Law by Unauthorized Alien; Provides that certain licenses to practice law will be revoked on specified date under certain circumstances.
Florida Museum of History at the Town of Eatonville; Authorizes specified entities to enter into partnership to design, construct, & operate & manage Florida Museum of History at Town of Eatonville; specifies museum requirements; specifies duties of advisory board; specifies membership of advisory board; specifies duties of partnership & governing board of Florida Museum of History at Town of Eatonville related to museum; requires governing board to make certain recommendations regarding educational materials for museum; specifies duties of operating board of directors; requires governing board, in conjunction with Florida Tourism Marketing Corporation & others, to develop & execute marketing plan to promote museum; specifies funding for construction operations of museum; requires creation of endowment; requires museum to receive program support from operating board of directors, appointed by governing board.
Advanced Wastewater Treatment; Requires DEP, in consultation with water management districts & sewage disposal facilities, to submit to Governor & Legislature reports on certain sewage disposal facilities in state.
Construction Contracting; Requiring that a portion of the 14 classroom hours required for the contractor certificateholder’s or registrant’s continuing education relate to financial literacy and basic consumer protection principles; requiring the Department of Business and Professional Regulation to create and adopt by a date certain a standardized disciplinary form for a certain purpose; requiring each local construction regulation board to submit a specified report by a date certain, etc.
