Naturopathic Medicine; Creates Board of Naturopathic Medicine within DOH; provides for licensure by examination of naturopathic physicians; provides financial responsibility requirements as condition of licensure for naturopathic physicians; provides that patients are responsible for advising treating health care practitioners about any legend drug, nutrient, or natural medicinal substance that naturopathic physician has prescribed or recommended to patient; provides for licensure by endorsement of naturopathic physicians.
Required Instruction in Cursive Writing; Requires students in specified grades to receive instruction in cursive writing; provides requirements for such instruction; & requires students to demonstrate proficiency in cursive writing by end of specified grade.
Cardiac Services Providers; Revising requirements for licensure of Level I and Level II adult cardiovascular programs; requiring the Agency for Health Care Administration to update specified rules as new applicable industry standards and guidelines are published, etc.
Resale-restricted Affordable Housing; Requires that resale-restricted affordable housing be assessed under specified law; specifies that resale-restricted affordable housing is land-use regulation & subject to certain limitation; requires property appraiser to consider such limitation to arrive at just valuation; requires owners of resale-restricted affordable housing to submit specified application to property appraiser.
Sickle Cell Care Management and Treatment Education; Requiring the applicable licensing boards for specified health care professions to require a 2-hour continuing education course on sickle cell disease care management as part of every second biennial licensure or certification renewal; authorizing the applicable boards to approve additional equivalent courses to satisfy the requirement; authorizing health care practitioners holding two or more licenses or certificates subject to the course requirement to show proof of completion of one course to satisfy the requirement for all such licenses or certificates, etc.

Resolution of Disputed Property Insurance Claims; Requiring, rather than authorizing, parties in a property insurance claim dispute to participate in mediation; providing that mediation is a condition precedent to commencing litigation; requiring all insureds, or their representatives, to personally attend the mediation; requiring the policyholder to provide the insurer with any information and certain documents within a specified timeframe after mediation is invoked, etc. APPROPRIATION: $1,000,000
Legal Representation Contracts; Prohibits DLA from entering into certain contracts until Attorney General makes specified written determination; requires Attorney General to request proposals from private attorneys after making such determination; provides that written determination does not constitute final agency action that is subject to review; requires contracted private attorneys to maintain certain records & to provide those records to DLA; requires DLA to post & maintain specified information on its website; requires Attorney General to submit annual report to Legislature.
Protection of Parental Rights; Prohibiting a court from denying or restricting certain parental rights based solely on a parent’s status as a qualified patient for purposes of medical marijuana use; prohibiting the presumption of neglect or child endangerment based solely on a parent’s status as a qualified patient for purposes of medical marijuana use, etc.
