Current law directs the office of legislative legal services to study the organizational recodification of title 12 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, which relates to professions and occupations. To implement the initial recommendations of the study, section 1 of the bill relocates article 28 of title 12, which relates to fireworks, to a new part 20 of article 33.5 of title 24, which title pertains to the department of public safety. HB 17-1298: Annual Compensation Report Submission Deadline

Joint Budget Committee. The state personnel director is required to submit an annual compensation report and recommendations and estimated costs for state employee compensation for the next fiscal year to the governor and the joint budget committee. HB 17-1255: Reporting Requirements By State Veterans Military Affairs To General Assembly

Statutory Revision Committee. Pursuant to section 24-1-136 (11)(a)(I), any report that is required to be made to the general assembly or the judicial branch on a periodic basis expires on the day after the third anniversary of the date on which the first report was due unless the general assembly, acting by bill, continues the requirement. SB 17-243: Continue Motorcycle Operator Safety Training Program

Sunset Process - Senate Transportation Committee. Sections 7, 8, and 9 of the bill continue the motorcycle operator safety training program for 3 years, until 2020.
