It directly affects the Department's Administration, Information Technology, and Elections divisions by allocating specific amounts for personnel, operations, and election-related activities. Key provisions include $16.86 million for administrative functions (like staff salaries and office costs), $11.55 million for IT systems maintenance, and $13.54 million for election operations (including Help America Vote Act programs and local election reimbursements). The funding comes from existing state funds, not new taxes, and supports the Department's day-to-day operations without creating new laws or policies.
