S 4073: Transportation Security Administration Pay Act of 2026

This bill provides temporary funding to ensure Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees continue receiving standard pay and benefits during a potential government funding gap between February 14, 2026, and when regular fiscal year 2026 appropriations are enacted. It directly affects TSA employees who might otherwise face pay interruptions if Congress fails to pass a full-year budget by that date. The bill authorizes using Treasury funds for standard pay, allowances, and benefits during this interim period, with these costs later charged to the appropriate future appropriations. The funding expires automatically on September 30, 2026, or when regular appropriations are passed, whichever occurs first.

HR 7925: American Families First Assistance Act

This bill, titled the American Families First Assistance Act, would restrict eligibility for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits for most aliens in the United States. It directly affects non-citizen immigrants by removing their ability to receive federal cash assistance for low-income families under the existing welfare program. The key provision amends the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 to disqualify qualified aliens from TANF block grants, with specific exceptions for certain categories of immigrants including nationals of Cuba. This change would limit access to financial support for families with children who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

HR 7917: Fair Wages for Home Care Workers Act

This bill, known as the Fair Wages for Home Care Workers Act, would change federal labor rules to require overtime pay and minimum wage protections for certain babysitters. It specifically targets casual babysitting work that is irregular or intermittent, while excluding trained medical professionals like nurses and home health aides from these changes. The law would also allow babysitters to perform up to 20% of their work time on unrelated household tasks without losing their protected status. These amendments would apply to workers covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 who provide custodial care for infants or children in private homes.

The legislation increases financial support for participants by raising living allowances and educational awards, while also establishing a new National Service Foundation to accept private donations for the programs. Additionally, the bill sets a goal of serving 1 million participants annually by 2036 and creates an outreach program to notify young people aged 17-30 about service opportunities.

HR 7905: Diabetes Foot Health Access and Modernization Act of 2026

This bill, known as the Diabetes Foot Health Access and Modernization Act of 2026, makes two main changes to federal healthcare programs. First, it allows Medicaid to cover foot and ankle care services provided by podiatric physicians, ensuring patients have access to this specialized care. Second, it updates Medicare rules to clarify documentation requirements for diabetic shoes, specifying conditions under which patients can receive extra-depth or custom-molded footwear. HR 7932: HONOR Gold Star Families Act

HR 7932, the HONOR Gold Star Families Act, increases the death gratuity paid to families of service members who died in the line of duty. It raises the current $100,000 payment to $200,000 for deaths occurring on or after January 1, 2026. The bill also adds an annual cost-of-living adjustment to this amount, increasing it each January 1 based on the previous year’s inflation rate as measured by the Consumer Price Index. This directly affects Gold Star Families - those who have lost a service member in military service - by providing a larger initial payment and ensuring future payments keep pace with inflation.

S 1552: Living Donor Protection Act of 2025

Living Donor Protection Act of 2025 This bill prohibits life insurance, disability insurance, and long-term insurance carriers from denying or otherwise restricting coverage for living organ donors. Specifically, carriers may not deny, cancel, vary premiums, or otherwise impose conditions on policies based on an individual's status as a living organ donor. The bill also expressly specifies that recovery from organ-donation surgery constitutes a serious health condition that entitles eligible employees to job-protected medical leave. In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services must update educational materials on living organ donation to include information about the benefits and risks of living organ donation and the impact of donation on insurance access, particularly with respect to the bill's changes.

S 4045: Food and Nutrition Delivery Safety Act of 2026

This bill, titled the Food and Nutrition Delivery Safety Act of 2026, directs the USDA to create standards for online and delivery services that accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. Within 18 months of enactment, federal officials must establish rules covering digital privacy, cybersecurity, fair labor practices including prevailing wages for delivery workers, and food safety during transport. Retail stores and wholesalers participating in the program would be required to report their compliance with these standards, and noncompliance could result in loss of authorization to accept SNAP benefits.

S 4038: Small Business Liberation 2.0 Act

This bill, titled the Small Business Liberation 2.0 Act, exempts small businesses from import duties imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 and requires refunds of any such duties already paid by small businesses. It also prohibits companies from raising prices on affected goods by more than the cost of the duties themselves during a five-year period following duty implementation. The Federal Trade Commission would enforce these rules, with state attorneys general allowed to bring civil actions against violators, while small businesses remain exempt from the price gouging restrictions.

It also directs an assessment of redirecting U.S. LNG exports currently sent to China to Taiwan and encourages Taiwan to maintain and expand its nuclear power capabilities. Additionally, the bill provides for insurance on vessels transporting critical goods to Taiwan and clarifies that the measures do not alter the U.S. One China policy.

HR 7880: Interstate Milk Freedom Act of 2026

This bill, titled the Interstate Milk Freedom Act of 2026, would prevent federal agencies from blocking the sale of unpasteurized milk and milk products across state lines. It allows such products to be shipped interstate if they are packaged for direct human consumption, produced in a state that permits their sale, and intended for another state that also allows their distribution. The legislation defines specific terms like "cowshare" to include ownership interests in dairy animals and clarifies what constitutes pasteurization. Importantly, the bill does not override state laws and only restricts federal interference when the product meets the stated conditions.
