Encampment Resolution Funding program: safe parking sites: reporting.
What changed between versions
Removed the requirement for the council to report quarterly (starting April 1, 2026) to the chairs of the Senate Committee on Budget and Fiscal Review, Assembly Committee on Budget, Senate Committee on Housing, Assembly Committee on Housing and Community Development, and Senate and Assembly Committees on Human Services. This included point-in-time accounting of people transitioned to permanent housing, temporary shelters, and services offered.
Added a requirement for the department to include in its annual report (under Section 50408) a summary of data elements described in Section 50254.5(b)(6), disaggregated by funding round.
Removed the fixed sunset date of April 1, 2030 for the quarterly reporting requirement.
Added a sunset provision tying the reporting requirement's expiration to when the department publishes the final report covering the final round of program funds, rather than a fixed calendar date.
Section 50254(f) was simplified from 'The Legislative Analyst's Office council shall evaluate' to 'The council shall evaluate,' removing the reference to the Legislative Analyst's Office and clarifying that the council itself performs the evaluation of data and outcomes reported pursuant to subdivision (g).
