Public postsecondary education: admission, transfer, and enrollment.
What changed between versions
Removed the requirement that an LEA governing board or body must authorize the agency to participate in the CSU Direct Admission Program. Previously, participation was voluntary at the board level; now, any LEA meeting the transcript-informed pupil account criteria is automatically required to participate.
Removed the requirement that a participating LEA notify the CSU chancellor on or before February 1 of the prior academic year if it intends to participate in the program.
Removed the requirement that a participating LEA identify each pupil deemed eligible for direct admission on or before September 1 of each year. Eligibility determination is now handled through the CaliforniaColleges.edu platform data rather than a separate LEA action.
Changed the deadline for transmitting direct admission letters from 'on or before September 1' to 'on or before the opening of the fall semester priority application filing period,' making the timing tied to the actual application window rather than a fixed calendar date.
