Highways: Highway Signage Fund.
Summary
Existing law vests the Department of Transportation with full possession and control of all state highways. Existing law authorizes the department to do any act necessary, convenient, or proper for the construction, improvement, maintenance, or use of all highways that are under its jurisdiction, possession, or control. This bill would establish the Highway Signage Fund in the State Treasury and would make moneys in the fund available, upon appropriation by the Legislature, to the department for the department's costs in erecting signage for highway designations previously approved by the Legislature that memorialize individuals who have promoted racial and gender equity.

MINOR
No substantive policy changes were made between these two versions of SB 467. The differences are entirely formatting and presentation-related, reflecting a transition from a traditional legislative document layout (with line numbers and page breaks) to a web-based rendering with navigation elements. The actual bill text establishing the Memorial Highway Signage Fund is identical in both versions.
TECHNICAL
The document was reformatted from a traditional legislative print layout (with line numbers, page numbers, and column formatting) to a web-based presentation with navigation links, search fields, and standard website elements.
