Salton Sea: restoration projects: skilled and trained workforce.
What changed between versions
The definition of 'Salton Sea restoration project' in Section 2946(c)(6) no longer requires the project to exceed $50,000 in cost. Previously the definition included 'that will exceed in cost, including labor and materials, a total of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).' This language was removed, so any construction, alteration, repair, or improvement undertaken as part of Salton Sea ecosystem restoration now qualifies as a 'Salton Sea restoration project' regardless of cost. The practical impact is limited because the skilled workforce requirement in subsection (a) still only triggers for projects over $1,000,000.
Minor text corrections in the legislative findings: 'Restoration restoration' corrected to 'restoration,' 'falls falls' corrected to 'falls,' and 'competition completion' corrected to 'completion.' These are drafting errors fixed during enrollment.
