AB 2547 California Assembly · 2025-2026 Regular Session

Life and disability insurance.

Summary
Existing law generally regulates classes of insurance, including life and disability insurance. Under existing law, an insurer is entitled to rely upon all statements, declarations, and representations made by an applicant for insurance relative to the insurable interest that the applicant has in the insured. Existing law prohibits an insurer from incurring any legal liability except as set forth in the policy, by virtue of any untrue statements, declarations, or representations that are relied upon in good faith by the insurer. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.

MINOR
No substantive changes were made to AB 2547 between these two versions. The differences are entirely in document formatting and presentation: the first version shows the raw introduced bill text with line numbers, while the second is a web page rendering of the same bill from the California legislature website with navigation elements and different layout. The actual legislative language of Section 10110.2 is identical in both.
