Subdivision (b) was deleted entirely. The Assembly-amended version had allowed a person to carry a firearm capable of being concealed on their person during archery season, with the condition that they not take or attempt to take deer with that firearm. The enrolled version removes this provision completely.

The legislative counsel's digest was changed from 'authorize any person to carry a firearm capable of being concealed' to simply 'repeal that prohibition.' This shifts the bill from creating a limited exception (concealed firearms only) to removing the entire ban on firearms during deer archery season, effectively allowing any firearm to be carried.
