A typo in the legislative counsel's digest was corrected: 'mixed-use development development' was changed to 'mixed-use development.'

The digest reference was updated from 'AB 1834, as amended, Patel' to 'AB 1834, Patel,' removing the 'as amended' designation now that the bill is in its final enrolled form.

The parcel map exception in Government Code Section 66426(a)(3) was expanded to explicitly include 'mixed-use developments containing residential uses.' Previously the text simply said 'mixed-use development' without clarifying whether residential components were covered. This means subdivisions in mixed-use zones that include housing can now use a simpler parcel map instead of a full tentative and final map.

The statutory structure was reorganized from lettered sub-paragraphs (a) through (f) within Section 66426(a) to numbered paragraphs (1) through (5), with the parcel map requirement moved to a single subdivision (b). This is a drafting cleanup that does not change substantive meaning.

The phrase 'except where if any one of the following occurs' was changed to 'except if any one of the following occurs,' removing the redundant word 'where.'
