Political Reform Act of 1974: lobbyist employers: fictitious appearances.
What changed between versions
Section 86205 was restructured from a flat list of lettered items (a) through (f) into a two-subdivision format: subdivision (a) with five numbered paragraphs for lobbyists and lobbying firms, and subdivision (b) as a standalone provision for the fictitious appearance prohibition covering all three categories including lobbyist employers.
Section 86206 changed opening language from 'Nothing in this article prohibits' to 'This article does not prohibit' and updated its cross-reference from 'subdivision (f)' to 'paragraph (5) of subdivision (a)' to match the new numbering in Section 86205.
Standard legislative formatting changes: header updated from introduced format to enrolled format showing passage dates (Assembly April 23, 2026; Senate June 25, 2026), page numbers adjusted, and approval block added for the Governor's signature.
