Measures proposed by the Legislature.

Existing law requires every constitutional amendment, bond measure, or other legislative measure submitted to the people by the Legislature to appear on the ballot of the first statewide election occurring at least 131 days after the adoption of the proposal by the Legislature. This bill would allow the Legislature to specify, in the text of a measure that proposes an amendment or revision of the Constitution, that the constitutional amendment or revision submitted to the people will appear on the ballot at an election other than the one described above if the election specified in the measure would occur at least 131 days after adoption of the measure by the Legislature.
