California Standard Diagnostic for Valley Fever.

Summary

Existing law establishes the State Department of Public Health to implement and administer various programs relating to public health. This bill would require the State Department of Public Health to create a California Standard Diagnostic for Valley Fever. The bill would request that the University of California at Merced and the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine Fresno campus consult on the creation of that standard diagnostic. The bill would additionally, until January 1, 2028, require the department to conduct an awareness campaign about the diagnostic, as specified.
