Misdemeanor arrests: procedures.
Summary
Existing law generally requires a person arrested for a misdemeanor to be released upon their signed promise to appear in court at a later specified date, unless one of specified reasons exists for nonrelease and requires the arresting officer to indicate the reason for nonrelease. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
