State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission: integrated energy policy report: carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration.

Summary

The Warren-Alquist State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Act establishes the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission (Energy Commission) and requires the Energy Commission to adopt an integrated energy policy report every 2 years. Existing law requires the Energy Commission to include in the integrated energy policy report an assessment of the current status of, among other things, the environmental performance of the electrical generation facilities of the state, including air emission pollution control technologies in use in operating plants. This bill would additionally include carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration technologies in use in operating plants in the above assessment.
