Department of Technology: modular modernization.

Existing law establishes the Department of Technology and requires, among other things, the department to establish and maintain a framework of policies, procedures, and requirements for the initiation, approval, implementation, management, oversight, and continuation of information technology projects. This bill would also require the department to establish and maintain a framework of policies, procedures, and requirements for the initiation, approval, implementation, management, oversight, and continuation of information technology projects that use a modular modernization approach, as described. The bill would require the department to establish and implement the oversight modular modernization framework by January 1, 2025.
