Summary
The California Constitution prohibits an initiative measure from naming any individual to hold any office or naming or identifying any private corporation to perform any function or have any power or duty. This bill would clarify that "private corporation" for the purposes of this prohibition includes any business entity required to register with the Secretary of State to do business in California.
