Jury duty: fees.

Summary

Existing law establishes a fee of $15 a day for each day's attendance as a juror after the first day. Existing law prohibits payment of that $15 fee to a juror who is employed by a federal, state, or local government entity, as specified, and who continues to receive regular compensation and benefits while performing jury service. This bill would clarify that the payment prohibition applies to a juror who is employed by the Legislature and who continues to receive regular compensation and benefits while performing jury service.
