Crimes: fraud.
Summary
Existing law makes it a crime to, among other things, knowingly present or cause to be presented a false or fraudulent insurance claim. Existing law additionally makes it a crime to, among other things, present or cause to be presented any written or oral statement as part of, or in support of or opposition to, an insurance claim knowing that the statement contains false or misleading information concerning a material fact. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
