Vehicles: notice of transfer: electronic signature.
Summary
Existing law requires every dealer or lessor-retailer, when transferring a vehicle subject to registration requirements, to give notice of the transfer to the Department of Motor Vehicles electronically in a manner approved by the department. This bill would require the department to accept an electronic signature on this notice of transfer.
