Public contracts: local agencies: preferences.

Existing law authorizes local agencies, in facilitating contract awards, to establish preferences, in specified counties, for small businesses, disabled veteran businesses, and social enterprises, as defined. This bill would extend that authorization to the County of San Joaquin. This bill would make legislative findings and declarations as to the necessity of a special statute for the County of San Joaquin.
