Emergency Medical Services: transportation alternatives.

Summary

Existing law, the Emergency Medical Services System and the Prehospital Emergency Medical Care Personnel Act, governs local emergency medical services (EMS) systems. This bill would authorize a local emergency medical services agency to transport specified patients to a community care facility, as defined, in lieu of transportation to a general acute care hospital.
