Financial Institutions Law: commissioner: fees.
Summary
Existing law, the Financial Institutions Law, regulates the activities of various financial entities, including commercial banks, industrial banks, trust companies, credit unions, and savings and loan associations. The Financial Institutions Law is administered by the Department of Business Oversight, which is headed by the Commissioner of Business Oversight. Existing law authorizes the commissioner to charge a fee of $25 to approve any instrument and to affix his or her official seal to that instrument, and to charge a fee of $25 to, if requested, certify copies of documents. This bill would, instead, authorize the commissioner to charge a fee of $30 to approve any instrument and to affix his or her official seal to that instrument or, if requested, to certify copies of documents, as described above.
