Human services.

(1) Existing law establishes the State Department of Social Services to administer public social services. Existing law provides for various child welfare services, such as the placement of children and nonminor dependents in certain placements, including, but not limited to, resource families, approved homes of a relative or a nonrelative extended family member, group home, and supervised independent living placements, and different assistance payments thereto. This bill would make various technical and related nonsubstantive changes to these provisions. (2) The bill would appropriate $10,000 from the Federal Trust Fund to the department to fund specified administrative activities. (3) This bill would declare that it is to take effect immediately as a bill providing for appropriations related to the Budget Bill.
