Transformative Climate Communities Program: report.

Summary

Existing law establishes the Transformative Climate Communities Program, administered by the Strategic Growth Council, to award competitive grants to specified eligible entities for the development and implementation of neighborhood-level transformative climate community plans that include greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects that provide local economic, environmental, and health benefits to disadvantaged communities, as defined. This bill would require the council, no later than January 1, 2019, to submit a specified report on the program to the Governor and specified committees of the Legislature.
