California Film Commission: workforce development program.

Summary
Existing law establishes and generally sets forth the duties of the California Film Commission in encouraging and promoting the film industry in the state, including requiring the commission to develop and oversee the implementation of the Cooperative Motion Picture Marketing Plan. The Personal Income Tax Law and the Corporation Tax Law allow various credits against the taxes imposed by those laws, including a credit for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2016, to be allocated by the California Film Commission on or after July 1, 2015, and before January 1, 2020. Existing law requires the California Film Commission to adopt rules and regulations to implement a Career Readiness requirement pursuant to the implementation of that credit. This bill would require the California Film Commission to develop a workforce development program, as described, that is consistent with the Career Readiness requirement.
