SB 1061 California Senate · 2015-2016 Regular Session

California Conservation Corps: county and city conservation corps training programs.

Summary
Existing law establishes the California Conservation Corps program to provide training and employment to young people on projects that, among other things, conserve, maintain, improve, and develop natural resources. Existing law authorizes the Director of the California Conservation Corps to establish a training program for members of county or city conservation corps, as prescribed, but specifies that the training program is authorized only to the extent that it does not adversely affect the ability of the California Conservation Corps to maintain 2,000 active corpsmembers. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change in that provision.
