Narcotic treatment programs.

Summary
Existing law provides for the licensure of narcotic treatment programs that use narcotic replacement therapy in the treatment of drug-addicted persons. Existing law provides for the regulation of licensed narcotic treatment programs, as specified. Existing law authorizes licensed narcotic treatment programs to use methadone in narcotic replacement therapy. This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to licensed narcotic treatment programs and those that provide methadone treatment as a narcotic replacement therapy.
