School funding: average daily attendance calculation.
Summary
Existing law establishes a public school system that requires state funding for school districts and charter schools to be calculated pursuant to a local control funding formula, as specified. Existing law requires the local control funding formula, in part, to be based on average daily attendance, as defined. This bill would provide that, for the purposes of funding, the average daily attendance for a school district or charter school that has an average daily attendance calculated to be 94% or higher shall be considered 100%.
