AB 2398 California Assembly · 2015-2016 Regular Session

Transportation: state highways.

Summary
Existing law establishes in state government the Transportation Agency, which includes various departments and state entities, including the California Transportation Commission. Existing law vests the commission with specified powers, duties, and functions relative to transportation matters. Existing law authorizes the commission to select, adopt, and determine the location for state highways, and to allocate available moneys for the construction, improvement, or maintenance of the highways. This bill would require the commission, every 5 years, to report to the Speaker of the Assembly, the President pro Tempore of the Senate, and the chairs of specified committees the number of selections, adoptions, and location determinations for state highways undertaken and the amount of moneys allocated for the construction, improvement, or maintenance of the highways.
