Criminal statistics: countywide statistics: Internet Web site.

Summary

Existing law requires the Department of Justice to present a report to the Governor annually containing the statewide criminal statistics of the preceding year. This bill would require the department to also include in that report countywide criminal statistics for that period, and specified information regarding persons who were younger than 21 years of age at the time of their offenses. The bill would require the department to post on its Internet Web site the information required by its provisions in a format that allows a user to query and download the information. The bill would delete an obsolete provision.
