AB 72 California Assembly · 2013-2014 Regular Session

Municipal water district: board of directors.

Summary
The Municipal Water District Law of 1911 provides for the formation of a municipal water district and the election of a board of directors of a municipal water district. Existing law requires directors, except directors elected at the district formation election, to take office on the first Monday after January 1 succeeding their election. This bill would instead require the directors of a municipal water district, except directors elected at a district formation election, to take office on the first Friday in December succeeding their election.
