Health and home care: worker training.
Summary
Existing law requires the State Department of Social Services, in consultation and collaboration with others, as specified, to develop a training curriculum for in-home support services providers that addresses issues of consistency, accountability, and increased quality of care for in-home supportive services recipients. This bill would require the State Department of Social Services and State Department of Public Health, in consultation and collaboration with others, as specified, to develop a training curriculum for health and home care workers that addresses the above-mentioned issues for health and home care recipients.
