Energy: solar energy systems.
Summary
Under existing law, the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has regulatory authority over public utilities, including electrical corporations. Decisions of the PUC are adopted in the California Solar Initiative, a program providing the ratepayer funded incentives for eligible solar energy systems. Existing law also authorizes the PUC to, among other things, conduct annual random audits of solar energy systems to evaluate their performance. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the latter provision.
