State government: advisory committee on the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System.

Existing law requires the Department of Justice to maintain a statewide telecommunications system of communication for the use of law enforcement agencies. The system is under the direction of the Attorney General. Existing law requires the Attorney General to appoint an advisory committee on the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System to advise and assist in the management of the system. The committee serves at the pleasure of the Attorney General, without compensation, except for reimbursement of necessary travel expenses. Existing law requires the committee to consist of representatives from specified organizations, including from the Department of General Services. This bill would change the membership of the committee by replacing the representative from the Department of General Services with a representative from the Office of Emergency Services.
