Recycling: beverage containers.

Summary

Existing law specifies the manner in which moneys in the California Beverage Container Recycling Fund, a continuously appropriated fund, are expended, including authorizing the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery to annually expend up to $5,000,000 for a statewide public education and information campaign. The department is required to convene a specified advisory committee before expending those funds. This bill would repeal the authorization of the department to spend those funds in that manner and would make conforming changes.
