AB 1262 California Assembly · 2013-2014 Regular Session

Insurance: disability insurance: seniors.

Summary
Existing law prohibits an insurer from knowingly recommending for sale or selling disability insurance providing health benefits directly to a Medi-Cal beneficiary who is age 65 or older. Existing law requires, when selling disability insurance providing health benefits to a person age 65 or older, to include in the application or other supplemental record signed by the applicant a question designed to determine if the applicant is receiving Medi-Cal benefits. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
