Public postsecondary education: dedicated revenue source.

Existing law establishes the system of public postsecondary education in this state, which consists of 3 segments: the University of California, under the administration of the Regents of the University of California, the California State University, under the administration of the Trustees of the California State University, and the California Community Colleges, under the administration of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges. This bill would express findings and declarations of the Legislature with respect to the funding of public postsecondary education in this state. The bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would increase the state's investment in public postsecondary education and to find a dedicated revenue source to fund public postsecondary education in California.
