Crimes: parole violations: reduction.

Existing law authorizes the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to expand the use of parole programs or services to improve the rehabilitation of parolees, reduce recidivism, reduce prison overcrowding, and improve public safety. This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would develop an approach to require law enforcement agencies to develop policies that would facilitate reporting of the crimes of Asian Americans and Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders, and develop and implement culturally appropriate services and reintegration of formerly incarcerated Asian Americans and Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders juveniles and adults into their communities to reduce parole violations.
