AB 2436 California Assembly · 2011-2012 Regular Session

City streets: assessments.

Summary
Existing law authorizes the legislative body of a city, by a resolution adopted by a 4/5 vote, to determine that an assessment levied against property for a street improvement is in excess of the benefits derived by the property from the improvement and to use an appropriation of public funds to reduce the assessment. Existing law specifies the types of funds that may be appropriated in this regard. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
