Concealed weapons: peace officer exception.

Existing law exempts from the crime of carrying a concealed firearm deputy sheriffs, members of the California Highway Patrol, member of the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District Police Department, other duly appointed peace officers, honorably retired peace officers who, during the course and scope of their employment, were authorized to, and did, carry a firearm, full-time paid peace officers of another state or the federal government, or a person summoned by any of those listed to assist in making arrests or preserving the peace, while the person is actually engaged in assisting the officer. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
