State Military Reserve: arms and equipment.

Existing law authorizes the Governor to submit requisitions to the United States Secretary of Defense for arms or equipment not required by the Department of the Army or allotted to the State Military Reserve. Existing law authorizes the Governor to provide arms and equipment to the State Military Reserve that are not furnished by the Department of the Army and are required in the defense of the state. This bill would instead require the Governor to provide such arms and equipment in the absence of federal support.
