A resolution to propose to the people of the State of California an amendment to the Constitution of the State, by amending Section 2 of Article II thereof, relating to elections.
Summary
The California Constitution authorizes any person who is a United States citizen 18 years of age and a resident of the state to vote. This measure additionally would authorize a person who is at least 17 years of age and will be 18 years of age at the time of the next general election to register to vote, subject to compliance with applicable registration requirements, and to vote in that general election and in any intervening primary or special election that occurs after the person registers to vote.
