Probation and parole.
Summary
Existing law provides for the granting of probation and parole to specified offenders under specified circumstances. This bill would provide that it is the intent of the Legislature to craft legislation that will amend the Penal Code to reduce unnecessary probation, parole, and jail time arising from certain probation and parole violations by nonviolent offenders.
