State Contract Act project notification requirements.

Existing law, the State Contract Act, establishes procedures for competitive bidding on contracts for public works. Existing law requires public notice of a project to be given by publication, as specified, to a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the project is located and a trade paper. This bill would also require notice of a project to be given to the local business association or chamber of commerce in the county in which the project is located, as provided.
