State park system: beaches.
Summary
Under existing law, the Department of Parks and Recreation administers and manages the state park system. The state park system consists of specified units, including state beaches. This bill would require the Department of Parks and Recreation to erect on a state beach, or any other unit of the state park system that encompasses a beach, signs that warn the public of dangerous, unsafe, or contaminated waters or waters that are closed to public access due to safety concerns. The signs would be written in English and other languages that meet certain criteria.
